Bum Phillips Charities

The nonprofit organization, Bum Phillips Charities, serves as a retreat center and fundraising base for numerous charities, including Camp Heart Sign, Mike Barber Ministries, and Coaches Outreach. In 2010, Bum and Debbie Phillips donated considerable acreage from their Goliad, Texas estate to bring the Bum Phillips Retreat to life. The retreat, which is currently owned and operated by Bum Phillips Charities, hosts numerous charitable events and activities year-round.

Bum Phillips Retreat supports a camp for deaf children, run by Camp Heart Sign, as well as frequent deaf church services and retreats for deaf adults. It also hosts sign language conferences and Christian ministries. The organization makes every effort to obtain sufficient contributions in an effort to offer its retreat space to charities at significantly reduced rates, or free of charge.
